Children learning with teacher

A child’s occupation

is play!

Playing allows children to develop their social skills and fine motor coordination.

A child’s occupation

is learning!

School and learning is a major component of childhood. Success in a school setting requires an organized sensory system, sustained attention, visual motor integration, and more.

A child’s occupation is self-care!

Learning to dress, wash hands and body, self-feed, and brush teeth are some of the earliest self-care tasks children become independent with.

How to tell if your child might benefit from occupational therapy

Difficulty with handwriting   |   Seems clumsier than other children
Emotional regulation challenges   |   Difficulty with transitions
Picky eating   |   Delays in self-care   |   Easily overstimulated
Appears constantly on the go or fidgety   |   Has difficulty in social interactions
Avoids certain textures   |   Frequent meltdowns

At Mint Hill Pediatric Therapy, our mission is to provide high-quality pediatric occupational therapy services to children in the comfort of their own home or school. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are committed to helping them achieve their developmental goals.
